We are a small bench-and-showroom jeweler on State Route 22. Every ring we sell is sized, set and finished in our own workshop, and every customer sits down with the person who will actually do the work.

Who we are
A bench jeweler, a showroom, and no middlemen
Belle Meade Jewelry is owned and run by Heidi Breyette. What started as a repair bench for neighbours in Clinton County grew into a full studio: design consultations at the front, a working goldsmith's bench at the back, and a safe in between.
Because we do not outsource, we can quote honestly, tell you when a repair is not worth the money, and hand a finished ring back in days rather than weeks. Roughly seven out of ten people who walk through our door were sent by someone we have already worked for.
We serve Plattsburgh, Peru, Keeseville, Champlain, the wider North Country and plenty of customers who drive over from Burlington, Vermont.

Four appointments, start to finish
Most custom projects take four to six weeks. Nothing is charged until you approve the design and the stone.

Sit down
Forty-five unhurried minutes. Budget, hand shape, lifestyle, what she actually wears. No sales script.

Choose the stone
We source certified natural and lab-grown diamonds and coloured stones, then show them to you loose, under the loupe.

Approve the design
Hand sketches first, then a CAD render and a printed wax model you can try on before any metal is cut.

Collect it
Cast, set, finished and inspected at our bench, delivered with an appraisal document for your insurer.

Sizing & repair
Ring sizing, shank rebuilds, retipping, chain soldering, clasp replacement, pearl restringing. Typical turnaround 3–7 days.
Stone setting
Prong, bezel, channel, pavé and flush setting, plus tightening and replacement of stones you have already lost once.
Appraisal & valuation
Written insurance-replacement appraisals with photographs, measurements and current North East market values.
Restoration
Inherited pieces brought back to wearable condition without erasing what makes them old.
Remounting
Move grandmother's stone into a setting that suits a modern hand — the most requested job we do.
Engraving
Hand and machine engraving inside bands, on lockets, on cufflinks and on gifts for retirements and anniversaries.

We are ten minutes south of downtown Plattsburgh with parking directly at the door. Appointments are free and never obligate you to buy — plenty of people come in only to have a clasp fixed or a ring cleaned.
